WORSHIP

Sunday Worship
Our Sunday morning services are offered at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Both services are identical. Our services can be described as blended, incorporating both traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs.

Currently...
On Sunday mornings, we are currently in a sermon series entitled Faith that Works:  Walking with Christ in the Real World.  These sermons are available online or on cd. Please contact the church office for a cd copy.

Sunday School
We offer 2 Sunday Schools: at our 9:30 a.m. Sunday School classes are available for all adults, preschoolers and children grades 1-5. At our 11:00 a.m. Sunday School, we offer classes for adults, youth, children grades 1-5 and 6th grade. Preschoolers have Extended Teaching Care during that time. Look for our Welcome Centers on the church campus to be directed to the class that's best for you.

Mid Week Prayer Service
On Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm our church family meets for a time of prayer for individuals in our extended church family. After prayer time, a member of our church staff brings an informal Bible study. Dinner is also available in our Fellowship Hall in the ROC from 5:00 - 6:15 p.m. Reservations are requested by noon on Tuesday and can be made through the church office. The cost is $3.50/adult and $2.00/child. Children under 3 years of age are free.

Lord's Supper
We believe that the Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience where Christians, through the partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of Jesus and anticipate His return. Our church observes the Lord's Supper the last Sunday night of each month when possible.

Baptismal Service
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Christ and the believer's death to sin, burial of the old life, and resurrection to walk in the newness of life in Christ. Dr. Maynard is available to meet with all candidates for baptism to answer any questions. Contact the pastor's secretary in the church office to set up an appointment.

Our Baptismal Services are scheduled the last Sunday night of each month, schedule permitting.

Christian Family Dedication
Families are important at Fruit Cove Baptist Church. Periodically we offer our Christian Family Dedication service. Members who have recently had additions to their families are invited to participate in these services where the church family commits to pray for them. Contact the Preschool Ministry for our next scheduled service and to make a reservation.
